About Us
Joe Kitty Handbags was formed to provide an answer to all the people on the Metro that asked the seamstress "Where did you get that bag??!!??" After many years of this question, she decided to stop being so selfish and start making her bags for others too.
As she researched various small scale companies and crafting operations, she started to realize that many were named after the founders' children. As her only child was of the four-legged furry type, she joked with her friends that she was going to name her endeavor likewise, Joe Kitty Handbags. The name stuck.
Sadly, the cat himself, Joe Kitty, passed away at only seven years of age in July 2007. But his name lives on in all of the bags and gifts she makes for others.
